Heirloom tomatoes

Transferred some to bigger pots and two into the ground. A little worried about one more frost. So I'm keeping the others out if harms way for a couple weeks. But if I get lucky then the two should be way ahead. Also picked up some mountain meadow mushroom compost today. Can't wait spring. Seeing my seedlings sure makes you wanna go out and buy a gallon. All that time and there one inch tall.

Valencia orange dwarf

Well a while ago implanted a manzanita in this wine barrel. Needless to say it collapsed. So figuring some day ill move and can plant this in a yard when it's bigger I put this orange tree in. It's root ball was in a 2 quart pot so it should have room to run for a bit.

Hoping for winter to move on

Working on my seedlings. Started some great heirloom tomatoes. And various flowers that I got from seeds from www.swallowtailgardenseeds.com Here's a look on how small this garden really is

Harvesting my potatoes.

It's cold and the plant is dying here in escondido. So it's time to see what's under the ground. Lots of plant. Not a lot of potatoes. Oh well

Happy fall everyone.

Figured I'd let my worms have a meal. Left them to rot.

Around my food.

Best thing about San Diego living is I can basically still grow things like its spring. Here's a look into my tiny raised garden. Spinach. Butter crisp lettuce. Potatoes. Strawberries are all in here. Even random garlic and green onions.
