intro into hydroponic veggies!

first off im gonna show you my General Hydroponic unit filled with Hydrotron. there like clay marbles and stay wet and give the roots a home. a normal fish tank air pump pushes air down the unit and the air bubbles up the tube forcing water to rise up the tube and out the drip tube (the round one on top). i need to get a air pump myself thats why no finished pics yet.

these are my two plugs ive sprouted. one basil and one beef steak tomato. these then go right into the hydrotron and begin to grow. you use the plugs instead of dirt so you dont have soil inside the unit.

ill have finished pics in the morning!

Just updated. couldnt wait till morning!! now there growing hydroponically!! yeay!

alittle different today! cloning & hydroponic intro!

my cloning tray filled with two different types of ceanothus. common lilac around the hills. and something else i found but am not sure what it is.

i took cuttings of two branches and split them up and dabbed them into rooting hormones. then stuck the bottom end into my plugs and covered them with the dome. making sure to keep them moist at all times until they root. ive heard it works so im finding out now!

and these two are one beef steak tomato and one basil sprouting. these two will go into my hydroponic unit once alittle bigger. i leave the unit outside so i dont have to supplement light. cant wait!!! ill have more pics once these go into the unit!

foxglove opening up.

quick update on my hop vines. really getting going!
